Overview

Ashwini Hospital was conceived as a 200-bedded medical center for the care of accident victims and critically ill patients. The unit was commissioned on 30th April 2006 with 4 full-fledged departments. These are Accident & Emergency, Neurology and Neuro Surgery, Orthopedics & Spine Surgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. The departments of Cardio thoracic surgery and Abdominal Surgery are scheduled to open soon. With a 200-member team of dedicated professionals, administrative and support staff, latest technologies in diagnostics and treatment, this hospital is poised to be a landmark in comprehensive trauma care.

Ashwini Hospital is built on an acre of commercial land at the portal of Cuttack’s modern township “Markat Nagar”, named after the erstwhile king of Kalinga, Markat Keshari. Easily approachable by a double road 5 kilometers from the National Highway No.5, the hospital provides effortless access for the injured and critically ill. The ambient riverside location alongside a green belt on the embankment of river Kathjodi, provides the perfect backdrop for this hospital.

Mission & Vision

Accident is a leading cause of death and disability amongst the young and productive population. The State and the medical fraternity have done precious little to address this malady. The services available today are really haphazard and grossly inadequate. Realising this grave scenario, this hospital has been set up to provide comprehensive trauma care to victims of industrial, road traffic and other accidents like Burns. Our honest mission is to set an example of medical service for the accident victims.

And our vision- establish fully equipped Trauma Centers all over the region and participate in the nation wide campaign to control and alleviate the suffering of these young, productive and ‘healthy’ individuals. The huge economic implications that these accidents involve need the sincerest ever public-private partnership.
