Dr Subrat Kumar Jena
Dr Subrat Kumar Jena graduated from SCB Medical College, Cuttack in 1977, completed post graduate course, M.S. in Orthopedics in 1982 and M.Ch. in Plastic Surgery in 1985 from B.H.U., Varanasi. Worked as Lecturer in Plastic Surgery at SCB Medical College, Cuttack and MKCG Medical College, Berhampur for 10 years. He was awarded ICMR, Senior Research Fellowship, Ethicon Visiting Fellowship and National APSI Fellowship and received best scientific paper presentation awards 5 times in Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery. Visited several Plastic Surgery centers in U.K.& Europe honing the skills in Maxillo-facial, Aesthetic and Micro-Surgery.

Dr Jena headed the Department of Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery for three years from 1998 to 2001 at Kalinga hospital, Bhubaneswar. His special interest in reconstruction of extensive bone and soft tissue loss, nerve and vessel surgery including free tissue transfers have established him as a full time Micro-Surgeon. He is credited with 157 successful replantation surgeries (2001-2006) including the first successful full arm replantation in Orissa.

Dr Subrat Kumar Jena is the Chief of Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery Services and Chairman of Ashwini Hospital.

Dr Maya Gantayet graduated from SCB Medical College, Cuttack in 1977. After a year of residency in K.E.M Hospital, Mumbai and another year at C.M.C., Vellore, she completed 4 years residency program at National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, leading to D.M. in Neurology in 1984 . Awarded Gold Medal as the best outgoing student in Neurology, she joined SCB Medical College as Lecturer in Neurology in 1986 and later promoted as Assistant Professor in Neurology in 1989. In same year she was awarded BOYSCAST fellowship to conduct research in advanced neuro-physiology at Royal London Hospital, London. In 1996, she resigned from the faculty of Neurology, VSS Medical College, Burla and joined as the Senior Consultant in Neurology at Kalinga Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

In 1998 she ventured in to endovascular interventions in various neuro-vascular conditions after a brief training at University Hospital, Nancy, France under Dr Luc Piccard. She then joined the International M.Sc. in Neuro-cascular Disorders to further her training in this new modality of treatment for difficult neuro-vascular diseases.

She is the Chief of Neurology Service and the Managing Director of Ashwini Hospital.
