Abdominoplasty
The lower abdominal skin often becomes lax and filled with stretch marks because of repeated child birth and rapid weight loss. Sometimes-previous abdominal surgery produces an incisional hernia through the operation scar. Abdominoplasty restores the normal shape and the appearance of the abdomen in this cases.When the abdomen is pendulous, this procedure is combined with Liposuction Relocation of the umbilical pit can be done, when desired . The surgical scar is placed lower down, so that it is well hidden by the under-garment. A mini-abdominoplasty (tummy-tuck) is done when laxity and stretch marks are less and Requires about 2 days of hospitalization. When a regular abdominoplasty is done, about one week’s hospital stay is required.
Liposuction
Also called body contouring or suction lipoplasty, it is a process of reduction of fat by suction. Fat accumulation occurs at some common sites like the hip, upper thighs, buttocks and lower abdomen. Arms and neck can also be affected. When exercises and diet restriction fail to reduce these abnormal fat deposits, Liposuction is done.
The fat is removed through small holes ( 4-6 mm dia ) by specially designed canulae in the affected areas and a compression garments is worn after the procedure for 3 to 6 months. Two to three days of hospitalization is advised for this procedure. Diet and exercises should be continued to prevent recurrence.
Rhinoplasty
Nose is the center of aesthetics of the face. In some, It may appear too small and flat (depressed) or too big like a parrot beak. Long standing deviated nasal septum ( DNS ) can produce a crooked and deviated nose. The surgical correction of these deformities is called Rhinoplasty. In small and flat nose a silastic implant can be used as also a bone or cartilage graft. In reduction rhinoplastry ( done for large and hump nose ) or in septorhinoplastry ( done for crooked nose ) no such thing is necessary .The usual period of hospitalization is 2 days for a smaller procedure to 5 days in a more extensive deformity. The swelling takes about three weeks to settle down.
Mamoplasty
Aesthetic surgery of breasts is called mamoplasty. When small and atrophic breasts are enlarged by silicone implants, the technique is called augmentation. When large, Heavy and pendulous breasts are reduce in size, it is called reduction mamoplasty. Sagging breasts are reshaped by a technique called Mastopexy.
Facial Peels
Chemical / Herbal peeling is a procedure where in gentle exfoliation of the superficial layers of skin is done by application of exfoliating agents to the skin. The main purpose of peeling is to rejuvenate the skin and to erase the marks of photo-damage and aging. it also opens the pores and makes the skin more susceptible to the action of corrective creams. Peeling can be done by various fruity acids and organic ( plant ) products. The most popular of them are Glycolic Acid and Whitening Peel-off Mask.
